Marie L. (Girouard) Campbell, 75, died peacefully on Wednesday morning, July 14, 2021, in Medway Country Manor.
She leaves three children: Ginnae E. (Hoover) Stamanis and her husband, Nicholas Stamanis, of Las Vegas, NV, James A. Hoover and his wife, Heidi (Bein) Hoover, of South Hadley, MA, and Steven E. Hoover of Whitinsville; seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Albert J. and Valeda M. (Beauregard) Girouard.
She was born in Pawtucket, RI, on March 12, 1946, and was raised there. She was a 1963 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Pawtucket and she was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War, serving from 1964 to 1966 in the continental United States. After her honorable discharge, she resided in Worcester, Marlborough and Whitinsville before moving to Medway last year.
Mrs. Campbell worked as a receptionist and secretary at several area businesses before she retired.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Mrs. Campbell's funeral service at 7:00 P.M. on Friday, July 23, in Turgeon Funeral Home, 80 School Street, Northbridge. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday, July 23, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M., before the funeral service.
