Florence V. (Gendron) Braman, 86, of South Dennis, MA, formerly of South Grafton, MA, died peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023, in her son's home, after a long illness.
Her husband of 43 years, Richard A. Braman, Sr., died in 1995.
She leaves two sons: Richard A. Braman, Jr., and his wife, Nancy A. (Cardin) Braman, of Elgin, SC, and Wayne W. Braman and his wife, Diana M. (Hackett) Braman, with whom she lived in South Dennis; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, William J. and Florence E. (Jarvis) Gendron.
Born in Worcester on June 11, 1936, she was raised in South Grafton and attended Grafton High School. She lived 30 years in Millbury, MA, and returned to South Grafton in 1991 where she lived until moving to South Dennis in 2017.
Mrs. Braman worked as an inspector for 42 years at Buck Brothers in Millbury before retiring in 2006. She was a member of St. James Catholic Parish in South Grafton until she moved to South Dennis. She was a Life Member of the Auxiliary of Unit #4, Disabled American Veterans of Worcester, and was elected Adjutant, Senior Vice Commander and Commander during her membership.
She enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and traveling with Richard in their motor home. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, March 16, in St. James Church of Our Lady of Hope Catholic Parish, 89 Main St., South Grafton. Burial beside her beloved husband in Fairview Cemetery, South Grafton, will follow the Mass. Calling hours in Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury, will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 15.
