Charles R. "Chuck" Laverty, 63, surrounded by his loving family, died on Thursday, February 27, in UMass Memorial Medical Center, Worcester, after a short battle with cancer.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Andrea R. (Eads) Laverty; two children: Thomas R. Laverty and Jenifer A. (Laverty) Calzaretta and her husband, Joseph, all of Plainville; two grandchildren: Hailey Ann Laverty and Jameson Paul Laverty, both of Mllbury; two brothers: Dennis Laverty and his wife, Donna, of Plainville, and Tom Laverty and his wife, Patricia, of Hyannis; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents: Thomas R. and Celia E. (Murphy) Laverty of Santa Barbara, CA, and a nephew, Brian Laverty of Hyannis.
Chuck was born in Providence, RI, on December 20, 1956, was educated in Plainville schools, and graduated from King Philip High School, Wrentham, and the Cape Cod Plumbing School.
At the time of his death, Chuck was a licensed plumber and HVAC technician and owner of Laverty Plumbing, Millbury, which he founded 40 years ago. In his leisure time, he enjoyed boating and riding his Harley and his ATV three-wheelers.
Relatives and friends are invited to extend their condolences to Chuck's family from 4 to 6 PM on Saturday, March 7, in Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury. The visiting hours will conclude with a short Funeral Service at 6:00 pm.
