Adolphe Oscar Emile Schwartz, 85, died peacefully in his home in Millbury, surrounded by those he loved, on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, after a long illness.
He leaves his wife of 62 years, Paulette B. (Houant) Schwartz; a son, Vincent T. P. Schwartz and his wife, Kimberly A. (Pichierri) Schwartz, of Millbury, with whom he made his home; two grandchildren: Mathieu V. Schwartz of Millbury, and Mikaela A. Schwartz of Worcester; a daughter-in-law, Holly L. (Bissonnette) Schwartz and her children: Zakary I. Brusa and Mersadies C. Brusa; and several surviving siblings and their families in France and the U.S.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rene and Louise (Philser) Schwartz, and, in 2007, by a son, Thierry E. R. Schwartz of Douglas.
Mr. Schwartz was born in Wissembourg, Alsace, France, on August 11, 1935, and emigrated in the 1960's, first to Montreal, P.Q., Canada, and then to the U.S. He became a citizen in 1982.
He worked for over 15 years at Worcester Envelope Co., and then at the Jo Ann Warren Dance Studio in Worcester. He retired in 2000 at age 65.
Because of COVID-19, funeral services will be private. There are no calling hours. Turgeon Funeral Home, Millbury, has charge of his arrangements.
