Michael A. Augusto

Michael A. Augusto, 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, in UMass Memorial Medical Center - Memorial Campus, Worcester, after a long illness.
His wife, Judith A. (Martin) Augusto, died in 1967.
     He leaves six children:  Michael W. Augusto of Worcester,  Diane M. Augusto and Joseph A. Augusto, both of Middlesex, NC,  David J. Augusto of Las Vegas, NV,  Thomas M. Augusto of Worcester,  and Wayne A. Augusto of Uxbridge;  seven grandchildren;  four great grandchildren;  and  two sisters:  Jean Brick of Las Vegas and Mary Ann Augusto of Worcester.
     He was preceded in death by his parents:  John and Marie Rose (Gagne) Augusto;  two daughters:  Susan J. Augusto and Donna J. Augusto;  a grandson, William L. Augusto;  two sisters:  Helene Clifford and Carol Matthews;  and three brothers:  John Augusto, Raymond Augusto, and Richard Augusto.
      Mr. Augusto was born in Manchester, NH, on July 14, 1940, and was raised in Worcester and he was a 1958 graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Worcester.  He later lived in Shrewsbury and Las Vegas before moving to Millbury in 2000. 
     Mr. Augusto worked for over ten years for Local 7, Ironworkers Union, Worcester, and he owned and operated Packers Bar and Grill in Worcester after leaving the ironworkers.  He then moved to Las Vegas where he worked at McCarran Airport until he retired and moved to Millbury.  He was a member of St. Brigid's Catholic Parish in Millbury.
     His funeral will be Monday, October 3, from Turgeon Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Millbury, with a Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M. in St. Brigid's Catholic Church, 59 Main St., Millbury.  There will be a visiting period in the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 to 10:30 A.M.
